Q: What is Action Cat Zine?
We’re an indie publication for music and media arts based in middle TN. We cover local events and shows from alternative scenes across the southern U.S. Our primary goal is amplify the voices of local musicians and artists throughout the southeast, with a special focus on supporting and highlighting women, LGBTQ+ creators, and other underrepresented artists.
Q: Can I join Action Cat? How do I do that?
YES!! We would love to have your talent on our team. We accept applications on a rolling basis for the following departments:
- Journalism
- Visual Arts
- Graphic Design
- Photography / Videography
- Social Media / Events Planning

Q: Do I have to be on staff to submit my work?
Nope, not at all. When we’re nearing the end of an issue’s production cycle we post an open call for submissions–usually for creative writing or art. Anyone can submit their work for free!
Q: Can you promote my art/band/new album?
